Shri Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations: Abhishek and Jhula Utsav Highlights

On the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Lord Krishna is placed in a cradle (Jhula) in his child form at midnight after His birth. This divine tradition continues for three days, where devotees offer their prayers to the child form of Lord Krishna in the cradle.

On the morning after Janmashtami, a special Abhishek (ritual bathing) of Lord Krishna is performed, and on the third day, the cradle is ceremoniously lowered, marking the conclusion of the Jhula Utsav. The Lord is then placed in the temple’s sanctum in His child form for continuous worship.

After the Jhula ceremony, prasad is distributed among all devotees.
The event brings joy and devotion to the hearts of the people.

Jai Shri Krishna! Jai Shri Radhe!
