Holy Celebration: Janmashtami’s Spiritual Bliss

Janmashtami festival for the Thakur Satyanarayan Kapuriya Temple Nyas, run by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Rampur, Himachal Pradesh, were celebrated with great enthusiasm on September 6, 2023.

The entire premises were adorned with flowers and beautiful decorations. The residents of the city participated in the night program, singing and dancing, and thoroughly enjoyed the festivities.

The Ramleela Club artists also presented their tableau during this time, and they were honoured by the temple trust. The sewing centre sisters of Seva Bharati and the performance by the children of Spring Dale School were also greatly appreciated. The temple trust acknowledged the bhajan group and their companions by presenting them with scarves, caps, and memorabilia.

The performance continued until midnight, celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna with congratulatory songs, and the residents danced late into the night. Everyone was treated with traditional sweets made with clarified butter, along with prasad like Makhan, Misri, and Dhaniya. The children of Parshuram Chhatravas served water during the event.
